How the migration from HCI EMail to UMail works
Typically we will migrate a contiguous group of users - your immediate workgroup - at the same time.
Usually we'll begin the migration process later in the afternoon / evening, at which point your HCI Email mailbox will become temporarily inaccessible. (If you happen to have a UMail mailbox also, it will be inaccessible at the same time.)
A number of changes are made so that your name remains in the HCI address book, and the groups you belong to will stay intact within the HCI Email system, and once the migration process is complete, you'll still have your @hci.utah.edu email address - it will just be located on the U of U's Umail system.
As your mailbox completion is completed, the quickest way to access your email and calendar is to use a browser to login to www.umail.utah.edu
To connect your regular Outlook client to UMail, or your mobile device, see the documentation for WIndows here: Connecting PC Outlook to UMail
