Setting Forward in CIS

 

Setting up UMail forwarding to HCI Email

NOTE:  This should only be done for email users who use HCI Email exclusively, or their primary Email system.  

1. From a system on campus, browse to www.cis.utah.edu   (Use your UNID with your U of U password, which then prompts for a DUO secondary authentication) 

2. Navigate to the Employee section, then select Umail settings. , then User Settings, then Mailbox Settings. 

3. If your UMail is already forwarded to your HCI Email address, it should be indicated.

4. Otherwise, in the middle of the screen, you'll see a red "Add Forwarding Address" button - select it.

5. Enter your firstname.lastname@hci.utah.edu email address in the "Forwarding Address" box, and select Save 

6. This will generate an automatic email sent to your HCI Email mailbox that contains a code or a "token" to enter in this screen to complete the forward setup.  (The email may take a few minutes to arrive.)

7.  Once you put in the provided Token, any email sent to your Umail mailbox should be automatically forwarded to your HCI Email mailbox.
