NOTE - in the past we had a mechanism to automatically synchronize passwords between the U of U systems and Huntsman systems, but because of a change in architecture and password policy, we no longer have this system in place.

If you are an external Huntsman systems user and need to change your password, there are a variety of ways to do so:
  • You can utilize the HCI Self-Service Password Portal.
    • In the first box, enter your username (typically your UID, with the U, ie u6020010
    • In the second box, enter your "old" (current workstation) password.
    • In the third box, enter your desired "new" password. It will need to follow the requirements listed below:
      • 10 characters long
      • (at least) 1 upper case and lower case letter.
      • A number or symbol
      • The password must not have been used in your previous 3 password resets.
    • In the fourth box, confirm your desired "new" password – this is to protect against any typos locking you out of your account.
  • Connect to the HCI-REMOTE shared desktop system and initiate a password change there from the Ctrl+Alt+Delete menu.
  • Change your password in HCI's webmail program
