HCI's Sharepoint system is accessed via a web browser.  Using Internet Explorer on a PC yields the best experience, but Sharepoint also supports Firefox, Safari and (possibly) other browsers.
 
 
From within the HCI network - ie, you are logged onto a PC with your HCI username & password
 
http://hci-portal  (this will display the "Sites Directory")
 
http://hci-portal/sites/YourSiteName (site name examples - CATG, Myeloma-Clinic, other sites listed in the Site Directory)
 
Note: Accessing Sharepoint from a PC you're already logged onto should automatically log you on, based on your authenticated Windows session.
 
 
From outside the HCI network - or logged on via Macintosh, etc
 
http://hci-portal.hci.utah.edu  (this will display the "Sites Directory")
 
http://hci-portal.hci.utah.edu/sites/YourSiteName  (site name examples - CATG, Myeloma-Clinic, other sites listed in the Site Directory)
 
NOTE: When logging on from outside or via Macintosh, you will be prompted to logon with a username & password.  Important - Under "username" enter your uNID in the format of hci\YourUserName and enter your Windows password.
 
 
Opening Shared Documents - when opening shared documents after having logged on, you may be prompted to logon again.  Enter your username & password like above, and check the box to remember your password.
